I want to start out by saying that sports books are not my forte, but that doesn't mean I can't share them with others who would understand them better. As most of you already know, I am lucky enough to have an internship where I can read books that are sent to me by talented authors. The latest books I received share a theme of sports and although I am not the most sports savvy person, I know some of my readers are. So, if it is your thing, or if it could potentially be your thing, then read ahead!
Win Daily
Winning at Daily Fantasy Sports and Life
By: Jason Mezrahi
I was inspired from the start while reading Jason's introduction because it translates into a broader context that can be applied to anyone's life- whether sports is one of your interests or not. He explains how our victories are proof the little things we work towards daily are paying off. I found this to be especially true because when looking at the big picture we can forget to zoom in on all of the little details that got us to the end result. After Jason's inspiring introduction, he goes on to share his mindset and routine that got him to the place he is today. He does not hold back in his guide to help others achieve their goals and live the life they always dreamed about. I found his willingness to share everything he knows about winning to be especially refreshing and honest. In today's world, success is coveted and to see someone that encapsulates what it means to be successful, and then have a desire to share that with others speaks volumes about the kind of person Jason Mezrahi is. If you are sick of losing time and money in your sports betting, this book is a must read.
Winning in Sports Business
By: Michael Rasile
I found this book to be especially inspiring for those who are in college right now, or even younger, and are interested in pursuing a career in sports business. Michael Rasile addresses questions many people are wondering the answers to, but don't know who to ask. Speaking from my own experience, it can sometimes feel like college is a time where having unanswered questions is the cultural norm. If this industry is part of your plan, then obtaining this book will be the most reassuring part of your college experience. Rasile shares experiences from others while providing some of his own advice. He paints a picture of the sports industry, both the ins and outs of it. He details the various different paths a person can go down in this business and what the paths will entail. Overall, if the sports industry is something you've always wanted to know more about, or you plan on having a career in it, then this book is for you.
